God, it’s a funny ol’ game!

I’m now 60 years old, in my school days, I played with kids of various religions, I my-self, was Christened Pro-test-ant and went to a Protestant school, but some of my Cath-o-lic friends used to tell of being caned or given the slipper, in Catholic  school?  At assembly on a Monday morning, they were asked if they went to church, on the Sunday. If they replied ‘yes’, they were then asked to give the colour of the Priests vestments, if they gave the wrong colour, or said no they didn’t go to church, they were then ordered to the ‘Headmasters’ office and caned?

When I was 14 / 15, I used to teach Sunday school, truth be known, I had my eye on a pretty little thing, with an exquisite figure. I used to come home from where-ever and my mother would say, “the vicar has been round for you”! He used to knock every opportunity and try and get me ‘confirmed’! I wasn’t interested in getting stuck in that game. We were educated about various religions, though I don’t remember actually meeting a Jew, or Muslim in my childhood and adolescence.

What I did notice, the Catholics had a get out clause?

During their everyday life, if they did wrong, either by accident or on purpose, they could go to the Priest and ‘Confess’? They could do this, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, probably depending on how often they ‘wronged’ or how lenient their Priest was.

Then the Jew also had a get out clause?

When, on the Day of Atonement, you walk into a synagogue, the very first prayer that you recite, you stand — and it’s the only prayer for which you stand — and you repeat three times a short prayer. The Kol Nidre.  In that prayer, you enter into an agreement with God Almighty that any oath, vow, or pledge that you may make during the next twelve months — any oath, vow or pledge that you may take during the next twelve months,  shall be null and void?

The oath shall not be an oath; the vow shall not be a vow; the pledge shall not be a pledge. They shall have no force and effect, and so forth and so on. And further than that, the Talmud teaches: “Don’t forget — whenever you take an oath, vow, and pledge — remember the Kol Nidre prayer that you recited on the Day of Atonement, and that exempts you from fulfilling that”.

So much for trust from a Jew?

We have ex-Labour PM’s Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Liberal leader Nick Clegg, Conservative former leaders Hague,  Duncan Smith and PM Cameron, along with USA President Obama and ex President Bush,  all telling us Islam is a peaceful religion, BUT we have Muslims across the globe protesting for ‘non-believers’ to be slain? They want their law, Shari-ah law, installed in UK and America, as it is in Sweden and other EU countries. We have ISIS, an Islamic army, fighting to form a Caliphate, in the Middle East, so just exactly, how peaceful is this Religion Islam?

Well they don’t have a get out clause!

There are two things Islam offers;

  1. Change your religion to theirs.
  2. Keep your religion and die.
  3. http://youtu.be/aYu_bHu6sUc

Now I’ve never really been bothered, in my adult life, with religion, I’ve been more Atheist than Protestant, I married a  Catholic girl and I had to give permission for my children to be educated Catholic, I have no problem with this, BUT I do draw the line at Islam and being subjected to their Shari-ah Law.

What do our Government intend to do about this?

Looks like civil war on its way, across the EU and in the States!
